About Andrew Melton

Andrew is a Central Washington native born and raised in Wenatchee, Washington. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in 2007 and his law degree from the University of Washington in 2011. Upon completion of his education, Andrew moved back to his hometown to be close to the things he loves — family, friends, and the outdoors.

He began his career at the Chelan County public defender’s office where he gained invaluable exposure to the ways of the courtroom through sheer volume. After his tenure at the county public defender’s office, he continued to hone his skills as a public defender for the City of Wenatchee. He characterizes his early work as being baptized by fire.

In 2016, Andrew struck out on his own by starting Melton Law PLLC where he focuses primarily on criminal defense work at both the District and Superior Court levels. He has defended hundreds of cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to class A felonies. He prides himself on being assertive and professional in the courtroom, but approachable and casual in the office.

If Andrew is not working, he is most likely to be found spending time with his young son exploring the outdoors, riding his dirt bike in the mountains, or chasing animals in the back country.
